Umm maybe the traditional media focused so much on Mueller investigation because people wanted to hear about it? Media talks about what gets the most readership. Don’t know why some have to turn it into a conspiracy.
I find it appalling that a NYT staffer believes that racism was the 'foundation of this country.' It was certainly present, but the foundation can be found in the Declaration and Constitution. That is precisely how we were able to get over past racism. Remember MLK referred to the Constitution as a 'promissory note.' That was the 'foundation,' not racism or white supremacy.

That doesn't make it 'the foundation.' They also discussed making Philly or NYC the capitol. A deal was reached to make DC the capitol in exchanged for debt 'assumption,' which was something fervently wanted by Alexander Hamilton. Is this decision therefore 'foundational?'

Narrative A is probably closer to the truth than Narrative B. But it’s certainly less exciting than Trump being Hitler, or a Russian agent. Narrative B is far more dramatic. It’s darkly historic. It’s going to be all over the New York Times for the next year. It shifts books. It drives engagement. It gets people out on the street and to the voting booths.
