That was the whole point of the TPP. Big mistake by the US to pull out of it.
Totally agree. Trump is bragging about AG deal with Japan. SAME deal we had under TPPP. Except for the 2 years of losses for the farmers. That's just the verbal agreement on pork.

How was it you put it, diversify your vendors? What I look at though are the friendships that are being kindled ...
What is your point?
U.S. is not the only horse in the race for the Chinese markets. China is certainly the only horse in the race for us (as a supplier), for a loooong time.
That was the plan all along. Chinese made supplies are garbage anyway. I'd gladly pay more for a better product than what you get from them.
Me too. Quit going into walmart years ago. Got tired of standing in the return line. Seemed anything we bought there it going back for quality reasons.
I figure the extra gas and time driving back & forth, I could just pay a little more and only have to do it once.
We check everything we buy. If it's made in china, just put it back on the shelf. Not because I hate china, but because it's just not worth the frustration of getting home and having to turn around to go back to return.
Yeah importing more junk into the US should put us back on top.
Uh, last I checked it is the American consumer who is buying that imported crap. If nobody were buying it they wouldn't be exporting it to the US. Go tell Home Depot you want the more expensive American made products. They sell the cheap stuff because that is what consumers want.
Home Depot's suppliers are trying to head off some of the increased costs from rising tariffs by moving at least some of their production out of China, executives told investors Tuesday.
"I'm not aware of a single supplier who was not moving some form of manufacturing outside of China," said Ted Decker, executive vice president of merchandising. "So we have suppliers moving production to Taiwan, to Vietnam, to Thailand, Indonesia and even back into the United States."
...
"We have data of country of origin in potential tariff impact literally down to the SKU, so we know exactly what are on the various lists, when the tariff impacts will hit," he said.
Retailers have been trying to avoid passing the costs of the tariffs down to consumers by diversifying their supply chains to countries outside of China. J.P. Morgan estimated the tariffs that take effect Sept. 1 will cost the average American household about $1,000 a year.
That's about $83 per month. I expected for costs to go up because China has been undercutting the market with its cheap labor and government subsidies.
Trump was right- the tariffs are killing China.
Despite pressure from the anti-American left wing loons, Trump needs to stick to his guns. We will win if we have resolve. The only other option is total submission, which is what the left advocates.
U.S. is not the only horse in the race for the Chinese markets. China is certainly the only horse in the race for us (as a supplier), for a loooong time.
This is why SUPPLIER DIVERSITY is important.
The tariffs will have the Chinese move to other countries to do business ... they won't miss a beat. Meanwhile back at the ranch ...
As you probably know, Home Depot is owned by a Right Winger.
I was in there yesterday. Just for fun I looked a the labels of dozens of products.....even very simple things like duct tape, aluminum faced insulation, a caulk gun with the HD label on it and a few others.
SCORE.....
100% Made in China.
Without China, Home Depot and Lowes and Wal-mart would not exist. Period.
Now the OP crows that some production will be moved to Communist or Muslim countries? (Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.)?????
LOL I live in Asia and I can tell that even Asians don't like to buy products made in China. China is recognized the world round as the makers of garbage.
