Not sure how much of the hyperbole is valid? I wonder if the real issue isn't about putting a damper on the automatic 'citizenship pull-through of all family and relatives' of the child or bride - of a U.S. serviceman who marries a foreign-born national (and has a child), while serving abroad (?).
Children born to US Troops overseas won't be automatically given citizenship?! This is absolute bat crap crazy, even for Trump.
So the Trump admin is saying that our brave men and women of the military, who voluntarily joined to serve and die for the United States if need be -- their children will not be American citizens simply because they're born on an American military base in Germany or France?
Please tell me there is a single Trump supporter out there on City-Data who will admit this is crazy....
There have to be some Trump voters out there who think this is nuts. Don't conservatives pride themselves on being pro-military and supporting our troops? Do they support the children of our troops not being American citizens if born in Europe while their parents are keeping America safe?!?!

It does not say anything about the nationality of the mother. It includes the US citizen mother who stays with her husband overseas and has a child on a US base. Read what the law says and what he is changing in terms of the classification of the children of US citizens born abroad.
