Some days it just seems like the Democrats are determined to give Trump a second term. Anyone think that this has any realistic chance of making it through Congress?

I am sure their intentions are good but that is about as far fetched of an idea as they can throw forward. There is no such thing as an "assault weapon" so how do they go about removing them?

How many cidiots will buy this crap we shall see.

Sounds profitable. I wonder how many cheap guns I can accumulate for minimal expense today, then sell back to the government for a nice profit later.

I would support a voluntary buyback, but not mandatory. How about requiring gun owners to pay a yearly fee that will be used to compensate shooting victims and their families? That might win broader support.

No. My guns are not responsible for anything therefore I pay nothing.

"Mandatory gun buybacks" means "Forced confiscation, subsidized by taxpayers".

BTW, how can the govt "buy back" my gun, if they never owned it in the first place?

Or is this a trick to fool people into believing that govt has some sort of "ownership rights" to my private property?
