Stop the stupid, juvenile name calling, hatred and violence towards those you don't agree with on politics! We're supposed to be adults here not kindergartners.

Members of Congress are no longer elected, but picked from a pool of citizens like a lottery in equal numbers so no party can hold a majority. And serve for a term of four years.

No long term benefits or pay after terms are up.

Members of opposing party determine Congressional pay and benefits based on merit.

Term limits across the board, no more than 6 years served in any office. Cut the pay of every politician to minimum wage. Make any politician who uses a jet to travel to global warming conferences pay a huge fine. Any politician who brings up gun control immediately loses their armed security detail.

Any person related to, sleeping with, or known to be friends with upper echelon media types is automatically barred from office.

Make lobbyists illegal.

Pretending that the contentious political climate will be resolved with government regulation is utterly foolish. Whoever is in power will bend those regulations in their favor. The only reasonable solution is to de-concentrate power.
You think local authorities are less crooked? How many towns spend all day putting up speed traps to fund their police departments. How many cities would love to claim imminent domain over everything to fatten the pockets of local politicians and private donors. How many cannot get a pothole fixed due to "Cost" but there are always tax breaks available for Wal-Mart who will return the favor with minimum wage jobs at a store or distribution center in your area. How many cities have 1-2 excellent schools inaccessible to most in the city, but have 15 horrible schools to choose from with no plan to improve.

Many national politicians like Bill Clinton learned their slick ways at the state level. As long as the American people are asleep at the wheel, it wont matter what level of government is in charge, it will be as crooked as the letter Z.

No government should be trusted more than another as the politicians move between them so its the same game. If citizens don't care or want to preserve their advantages (if your kids in the Good school then you don't want changes right? NIMBY) then this is as good as we are going to get.

Get religion out of politics. It’s pretty much that simple. Today’s politics is a culmination of what Jerry Falwell began in the early 1980s.

First, get rid of Citizens United.

Term limits for Senators.

Stop all forms of Gerrymandering.

No one with a criminal conviction can run for anything. If you can't vote, you can't run.

Stop all forms of voter suppression.
The electoral college is broken.

Lying about anything to the American people should be severely punished unless it's a matter of national security.

I'm sure I could think of more but it's about time to get the puppy.

Pointless. The Left doesn't respect Americans.
No point pretending we respect them.

We are at war, with each other.
To the victor, goes the spoiled.

Stop the pathetic and childish name calling and have some manners.

Debate goes nowhere when you can't even demonstrate basic civility.

Cut out the personal insults and name calling.

Not all liberals are bad, not all conservatives are bad. Lots of good discussion on policies to be had without making sweeping generalizations that insult anyone that doesn't think the same as you do.

THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a sweeping generalization against anyone that doesn't hold the same opinon as you. Some people get personally offended. honestly I don't because I really don't know you and know you only insult people like that because they don't have the same opinion.

There is no war. I admire and respect many people that don't hold the same political views as I do.

They just have different views for different reasons. They are kind, caring people who treat others with respect. Just because we differ doesn't mean we are at war.
