It seems to be that the bar for POTUS should be higher than the bar for a state college!
You bias is noted because you only spoke about repubs!

"I would also like some very basic intelligence test", Intelligence does NOT necessarily make you SMART or have common sense, hence the term, "The absent minded professor".

I have seen people with PHD'S who I wouldn't trust to pay bill at a restaurant.

You can go to a hundred medical school pass EVERY tests to became the most "intelligent" surgeon in the world but, if you have ZERO mechanical aptitude and can't even use a simple screwdriver,..........!

And yes, I have seen very intelligent people who can't walk and chew gum at the same time.

Based on your perspective, we could have someone in a Coma as POTUS as long as one of their aides insisted that she or her could read his eyeballs and hand signals.
"The Founders clearly said the Constitution was for a moral, ethical and educated populace (or at least political office was!)....."

Define "educated". George Washington did NOT go to college. Should he NOT have been made a general and put in charge of our army to beat England?

Should he NOT have been our FIRST President?

"Based on your perspective," do you really think anybody like what you describe would get elected?

We HAVE a procedure when a president is in a COMA"

I think you watch too may science fiction movies!

"why is it okay to have someone in office whose mental health isn’t what it once was?"

Why are you allowed to share your OPINIONS?

IF it is determined a president's "mental health isn’t what it once was", we HAVE a process for that.

IF the opposing part truly believes it, why haven't THEY EVER done anything about it?

Not bad for a guy who turned a few million into BILLIONS and beat 10 other "smart" repubs AND the "smartest woman in the world" to become president

Must go to show your IQ is NOT as important as it is thought to be.

In short, I doubt it. The Art of Con is something that uses an certain intelligence, but not an IQ or cognitive one. It's more about having a straight face when you lie.
"He speaks and writes at a 4th grade level." And your credentials to back that up is what?

"It's more about having a straight face when you lie." Do you mean like, "my helicopter was shot at,"It was the video", "It was NOT a tax", You can keep your Dr.", "You can keep your insurance", "Every American will save $2,500"

I COULD say the same about you with ALL your gripes, complaints and whining about everything Trump does and say and IGNORED all the things your dems have done and said. Must be some sort of physiological defect!

It will require a constitutional amendment. Good luck. Liberals always poo-poo IQ tests when it demonstrates minorities and other nationalities don't do as well as whites but seem to love them here.

How's that sound?

If we're going to change the Constitutional requirements for elected offices...let's go for broke!

Bingo! As they say, "what is good for the goose, is good for the gander".

That's the reason why low IQ people are often serial offenders.....

Taking the POTUS as an example - he has actually LOST 10's of Billions of dollars in his life compared to what he'd have if he put his money in a mutual fund.

A normal person would learn that and not keep making cons, frauds and bad bets...because all that happens from them is lose-lose-lose.

But a person with poor judgement or low intelligence would not realize they could change course and invest a billion in a Mutual fund and then have 10 billion in two decades.

You could definitely make a case that an IQ of 140 or above is not needed for POTUS. But it's hard to imagine that anything under 120 is going to be able to do the job.
"A normal person would learn that" So, NOBODY should take investment risks? Walt Disney went bankrupt 3 TIMES. I guess he should have NEVER taken even the 1st one.

MANY successful people who are wealthy today took risks over and over BEFORE finally becoming successful.

My guess is you are not very wealthy because you are too chicken to take risks.

This great county is BASED on those willing to take great risks. It is too bad so few today are wiling to do so. Must because of all the spoiling parents do today.

Many people couldn’t I know I can’t myself answer all of those. Maybe make it a once a year thing?
"then again conservatives choose someone who ISNT smarter then a fifth grader." yet was ABLE to beat, "The SMARTEST woman in the world". How does that crow taste?

Trump is the one doing it correctly. A left hand to right hand hand shake is incredibly awkward, both in how it feels and in how it appears. Trump understands that. Too bad you don't.
