This is going to turn into another bad decision
No input from Congress
But sending troops to SA and UAE to protect their oil in a religious war
Despite all the weapons sold to the Saudis they are still incompetent to defend themselves
I have a hard time wrapping my head around how people would be ok with the welfare of the Saudis when they bombed this country as well while welfare of our own people is constantly attacked.
It does not make sense.
The motto in regards to welfare in our country is to show people to take some responsibility and care for their own welfare. Ok, fine. So how come the billions of dollars in weapons and training we give to the Saudi's is not enough for them to look after themselves and cut them off the government teat.
No way we should be putting troops on the ground over this. No one in Saudi or the rest of the ME is worth the life of an American serviceman or woman. Muslim savages have been killing each other over their silly superstition for over a millenia-it isn't going to stop with the deaths of Americans.
US troops are already there. Calling it "their silly superstition" is very racist and shows huge lack of understanding.
Which goes to show how silly a notion it is to say that Israel is our best ally in the region.
When's the last time we sent them some troops to protect against the regular rocket attacks there?
But Saudi Arabia wants some protection? There in a heartbeat.
Yep
When did our "allies", Saudi Arabia and Israel ever send troops to Vietnam, North Korean Border, Iraq and so on? Our troops are fodder for foreign interests.
Why can't the Saudis protect their own damn selves? The Saudi royal family has all sorts of money. They don't even know what to do with all their wealth. Why in the name of God does the US have to send its own troops over there in order to protect the country that brought us 9/11? Whatever happened to "America First"? Trump is such a damned liar. Now he has made our military a mercenary army which serves at the whim of a foreign king. Didn't we fight the Revolutionary War against a foreign king?
I hope the entire Trump family rots in hell.
I think the Saudis think that we are just peons to them. They are too superior to get "soiled" The inferior gentiles are suspose to die first in these conflicts you see.
This might not pertain to the UAE or Qatar, but the presence of US forces in Saudi Arabia in the past had the sad effect of radicalizing Saudi males. One of the problems was females in uniform, at that time in support roles more often than not, driving vehicles and wearing their hair loose and seen working like the men. Then there was the fact that so many 'infidels' were concentrated in the place, regardless of race or gender.
Many of those people have a tendency to be backward and fanatical, we try to help them and they spit in our face and take our money.
Nothing good can come from this.
Just FYI - Saudi women can drive, travel independently, join the military and do not have to wear abayas or cover their hair, these "religious rulings" have been changed by the Crown Prince in the past couple of years.

1–Israel would have zapped those drones
It has better defense systems than we do
2–Trump wants a fight with Iran
This is likely to give him an excuse
Let one US military personnel be killed shilling for SA and Trump will bomb Iran
3–Netanyahu is not going to be in charge for the next Israeli congress
That one may not be so in love with Trump
And he knows it
