Cmon. I will vote for Trump but ultimately America is more resilient than one crazy socialist.

Warren getting support from and working with the business community (Wall Street)? Then I guess she's not a Marxist after all.

For the first two years of any president's term in office is attributed to the previous president. In other words the first two years of Trump's economics is actually the result of the efforts of the Obama administration. The second two years are belong to the president in office at that time. As we can see under Trump we have a roller coaster stock market, world markets teetering on recession, huge numbers of businesses closing etc. Whichever democrat is elected unfortunately will be stuck with the economic mess created and left by Trump.

All Sen Warren is proposing is that all citizens pay their fair share and nothing more. As Warren Buffet pointed out; 'it is unfair that I pay a rate of 13% on billions while my secretary is paying 35% in taxes on her annual income of $70,000.'

BTW, has anyone noticed that the OP tried to slander Sen Warren by calling her Pocahontas? FYI, Pocahontas was a heroine and that's exactly what America needs now.

It is time for a woman president, and Elizabeth Warren is that woman.

She is ridiculous, no doubt, b ut seriously? The same thing gets said about one or all of the top 2-3 challengers every single election. Paul Krugman wrote what seemed like 15 columns per day declaring that electing Trump would destroy the economy, the markets, the planet and we would all perish in flames of economic ruin.

Every four years, like clockwork, this freaking insanity from the partisan hysterics.

Elizabeth Warren is a moron tyrant, yes, got it. But the stock market is independent of the office of President, and 99.9% of the time works IN SPITE OF government, not because of it.

These fear mongering threads that both left and right do every election cycle...they make you all sound insane.

Here's what you get with Warren....or Biden...or Trump...or ANYONE UNDER THE FREAKING SUN - more bureaucratic nonsense, ebb and flow of tyranny, barriers to your daily life to overcome, people to point at and hate, some sort of new expansion of government spending, and innocent people somewhere outside the US being blown up because it serves some "national security interest." Look at every President since freaking FDR. That's what you get.

Stop the nonsense about the stock market shutting down. Money doesn't sleep.

She is, but she needs the support of business and Wall Street, so she will be just another Democrat watered down Marxist like Obama.

Marx is long dead. The only person who seems to have outlasted him as far as philosophy is JC.

if you have a pension or 401k you own stocks. I'm sure some of the social security money they haven't stolen has some exposure to the stock market.

How do we play the run-up to the election? I predict it will be Warren v Trump. And when Trump sweeps it, we'll have a relief rally. I plan to buy calls as we near Election Day, for expiration soon after.

But what do we do the summer before? Even the prospect of Warren winning will depress the market.

Obama was more Free Market than Trump. Trump is a statist who wants government control over private business, meddles in the economy with his trade wars and tariffs, tries to bully the Fed (a supposedly independent agency) into lowering interest rates, etc., etc. Next to Trump Obama looks like the second coming of Milton Friedman.
