Why did Trump drop the investigation into ZTE the day after Ivanka got the patents she had been seeking? It's the way the world works. Foreign governments expect that they will get favorable consideration if they do good things for the progeny of our politicians. If they do, then it is potentially a crime. Otherwise there is nothing to see here and that appears to be the case with Biden.
