So you disagree that Italy and the USA have a shared cultural and political heritage? Seems you would need to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the definitions of those words to find fault with them.
I do mostly agree with your points 2 and 3 though....Point 1 is absurd, the hatred for him is palpable. The hate manifests itself in threads like this, where clear and accurate statements are twisted to be something unpalatable to the most hateful among you.
I certainly do.
You like cooked meat? I guess you can claim a shared culture and heritage with Homo-erectus.
Or … like swimming? Care to guess who you share a culture and heritage with over that one?
Duh, Julius Caesar founded Las Vegas and put a casino there. Then George Washington named a salad after him. Finally, Caesar's little brother was jealous so he was given a pizza franchise. The rest they say is history.
We were laughing about this at work the other day. But, agreed that it really isn't funny...
^^^This and if you count when the pilgrims landed, you can add an extra 100 or so years. The US has NOT been around for thousands of year. Quit defending the ignorant comments by your Dear Leader.
An elementary level understanding of sentence structure will make life easier for you. You would then be able to understand that the reference to thousands of years was not in relation to the US. This really isn't difficult.

“The United States and Italy are bound together by a shared cultural and political heritage dating back thousands of years, to ancient Rome …” ~ Donald Trump ~
So who migrated to this continent, whose ancestry [evolved] is derived from ancient Rome, and who has had a significant impact on u.s. culture and political heritage?
I ask this knowing the little dude whom I worked with a few years back and had a difficult name to pronounce said, his name came from their root ancestry of the ancient Aztecs.

Oh but they do but when you put your fingers in your ears and look away then your allowed to make up whatever it is you want.
Once more from Snopes:
"Trump said the two countries share a political and cultural heritage, and that that heritage dates back thousands of years. He did not claim that the two countries have shared an alliance for thousands of years — something that would have required both nations to exist as polities during the era of the Roman Empire, which clearly neither did.
The phrase “dating back thousands of years” evidently caused many commentators to misunderstand the meaning of Trump’s remarks. But it’s the heritage that goes back that far, not the binding of the two nations.
The influence of the Roman Republic on the formation and principles of the American Republic is well-documented, and Trump’s point was historically sound."
The bolded section is a very generous concession from Snopes. There is no misunderstanding, there is just TDS.
