Ocasio-Cortez: "We need an, uh, uh, a United States that really, truly, and authentically, is operated, owned, and decided by ... all people in the United States of America" Collective/State ownership is the core belief of communism. Terrifying stuff.

I don't understand either party reading much into rally attendance. The people who attend the rallies are those who are already followers. I hoestly don't think many people go to these to learn more about the candidate. This goes for Trump rallies too. What is this really supposed to mean?

That sounds like a perfectly innocuous statement that the majority of Americans (and the Constitution) would agree with - a nation of the people, by the people, and for the people. This seems to be the same sentiment she is communicating. If the people of the US don't own, operate, and make decisions for the country, who does?

Is the Constitution now pre-Marx Bolshevism? Or it's because it's AOC saying it, so you assume a pretty standard talking point about American democracy is about collective/state ownership - something which she does not say, but you assume.

It would be nice to know your answer to my questions.

No she clearly means government central control because her next line was that the United States government should supply Housing, Jobs, Healthcare to everyone, should “guarantee a living wage”. The United States was founded on limited, restrained government, individual liberty. The entire constitution, bill of rights aims to limit the scale and scope of governent. Our founders were keenly aware that governent central planning on a large scale does not work. That was further proven in the 20th century when collectivist governments all failed, led to dictatorships, people starving to death, placed in labor camps and gulags. Since we essentially ended those types of collectivist governments and moved towards a more market based aproach internationally in the 70s/80s we have lifted 2 billion people out of poverty and entered the technological/advancement age.

This is hysterical, fear-mongering nonsense. It's pointless having a discussion with you.

AOC is a political goddess. She is the best newcomer in American history. She has the "it factor". She is what is needed to get non/unlikely voters to the polls. Bernie will win with her in his corner. It's just a matter of time before she is president.

And her handlers seem have to studied Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro. She’s indistinguishable from them.

This, AOC and Bernie is what real power to the people looks like. It's not the billionaire boys club that took over the White House 3 years ago.

The crowd at the Bernie rally looks a lot different than the crowd at a Trump rally. Major difference in demographics.
