Jim Jordan et al will ask for a subpoena to try to force the whistleblower to appear. One problem: that's illegal.

The Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act of 1998 provides that an inspector general’s office shall not provide to Congress or the public any personally identifiable information on a whistleblower without the whistleblower’s consent.

Surely the Republicans know the law. Apparently they don't care about following the law, just like their leader.

The Trumpublicans are all in on denial. La-la-la can't hear you.

Anyway, at this point the whistleblower topic is a red herring.

The whistle blower's attorney, Mark Zaid, tweeted in 2017 that a "coup has started" and he is rooting for Trump's inevitable impeachment.

It doesn't get more hilarious and freak show than this.

It should be noted this was passed during the 105th congress, in which republicans had the majority in both houses.

Once again, republicans like a bill they themselves passed, except when it ends up applying to one of them.

How is that relevant to anything? Obviously Zaid was not representing the WB at that time.

Having refused to abide by subpoenas themselves, they will now... The GOP is inventing new ways to be hypocritical, aren't they? Cornered rats are always the most creative.

The Whistle Liar who is part of the coup discussed in Andy's office, should be outed for the fraud he is and get cross examined by the President's attorney.

uhm

you do realize that there is a difference between:
Quote:
inspector general’s office shall not provide to Congress or the public any personally identifiable information on a whistleblower

and the house or senate :
To subpoena the whistleblower

The Republicans need to start putting footnotes on all the bills that they pass that reads, "These laws apply only when the GOP says they apply." And that includes all the rule changes they pushed through in 2015. They only apply when used against the Democrats. Otherwise, they are completely invalid.

At least that would be honest.
