There's a reason for that.

#1) The texts were pre-scripted, and planned in advance.
#2) The responses did not support the narrative within the script.
I'm guessing it's because the witness can only relate things about what he said, not what someone else said. But these texts have been released? No one is hiding what the other party said.

You do realize Sonlland has already appeared,, right? And that he is going to testify again publicly?

Seems to me after listening to this hearing; President Trump withheld military aid from Ukraine, to benefit Russia.
He never talked to Trump. All of this is 3rd hand hearsay and lies.

They both have has no knowledge.

What I'm hearing so far:

SCHIFF: Are you aware that quid pro quo literally means this for that?

TAYLOR: I AM.

They have all Testified. Schift is picking only the ones he want for a 2nd time, not the ones that will help Trump.

Default Bill Taylor is "testifying" that he felt President Trump was intruding on U.S. policy toward Ukraine

Bill Taylor is "testifying" that he felt President Trump was intruding on U.S. policy toward Ukraine

I don't recall ever hearing that from any other govt official about his President. Except Democrat fanatics, of course, who no longer matter.

He also seems to dislike President Trump's well-known bull-in-a-China-shop method of running things, praising progress, making suggestions with the quiet knowledge they are really orders (I heard somewhere the President was not only Commander in Chief, but also the main person in charge of foreign relations), suggesting the United States could change its policies to get what they wanted etc.

Finally Taylor's miffed that, instead of simply tossing out the former people who had been running US policy toward Ukraine, Trump let them stay even as he put in a few new people with new orders.

It would be nice if the House "committee" would ask Taylor which way it was: Was Trump not exerting enough influence, leaving the older people in place to run "the usual" relations with Ukraine? Or was he exerting too much influence by sending new people while the old people carried on with routine Ukraininan business? You can't have it both ways. Trump obviously didn't take the extraordinary step of recalling the U.S. delegation from Ukraine (usually taken as an insult or sharp rebuke to the country) to get them on a new path, but left them in place to handle most things while he formed new policy on a few matters.

I'd imagine the Republicans on the committee would like to ask Taylor such questions... but the Democrats have forbidden all such Republican questions.

But Taylor's attitude that Trump was intruding, is weird. Taylor even used the word "weird", to describe Trump's sending of a few new people. Who does Taylor think is the boss here?

Or is Taylor merely mewling about Trump handling things directly rather than going along to get along?

None of them that testified helped Trump as they told the truth.

Goldman: You believe the Orange Man is bad correct?
Taylor: Yes sir.
Goldman: You are testifying that all foreign policy norms were being violated correct?
Taylor: Yes sir.

Good thing this isn't a courtroom. Talk about *LEADING* the witness, and putting words in his mouth.
Good grief. Daniel Goldman would be kicked out of any court for this level of manipulation.

We either have nation based on the rule of law and a Constitution, or we don't.

Kent just claimed Dimitri Alperovic is Russian. That's not true. Alperovic is Ukrainian.
