Yep. All this means is that the appeal is on hold until they decide whether to hear it. It's not an unusual occurrence at all. Ususally it takes a month and a half to two months for a decision to be made. That will put it in January sometime, just as the election coverage is beginning to heat up.

That said we all know what their purpose is. Trump has $1000 an hour tax lawyers who spend weeks or months preparing his taxes, the Democrats and the media want to summarize it in a few words to embarrass him.
Generally people do not go into public service to get rich...if they do happen to become insanely wealthy while in office...well, its a pretty good bet its from an 'unethical' stream!

Qualifications to be President are already outlined in the Constitution and that will need to be amended if you want to require tax returns,.
