Most people do not support the religious right or the far left agenda. As the Republican party evolves to being more moderate on social issues they are going to bury the Democrats.
I think the problem is that not only have the Democrats gone far [extreme] liberal on social issues, the current republican party has gone far [extreme] liberal on fiscal issues and big government. There's still a lot of us conservatives from the traditional republican party that don't agree with the current liberal agenda that our party is pushing.

This is a very weird dichotomy. I know what you mean but, really, are we going to call people like Bill Kristol and Jeb Bush traditional conservatives? Kristol is a neo-con, and actual conservatives want nothing to do with Jeb.

I prefer labeling taxation as armed robbery but it can be construed as slavery.

Put me down for "yes".

I join you in your hatred of paying taxes. Everything should be free.

Are there any traditional conservative values left in the Republican party?

Fiscal responsibility?

Rule of law?

Free trade?

An honest poll would ask if you prefer Reaganism or Trumpism.

Put me down for Reaganism.

Tough call. One of them sold weapons to Islamic terrorists to finance Central American terrorists and the other guy just handed over a U.S. airbase to Putin.

Definitely nationalist/populist. Tax cuts for the rich is not a winning issue. Far too many Republican politicians are behind the curve on political realignment. This isn't the Reagan era anymore.
