I listen to my active Military buddies. I know quite a few. I never said if he was guilty or not - what I said was none one else should interfere on these proceedings. What now with the next court Martial ? Call mrT?
If you have a problem with the orders of the President of the United States as a subordinate US government/military officer, your recourse is to resign. Not to be insubordinate.

The Navy didn’t want to expel him from the Navy. They were expelling him from the Seals. He had a stripe taken from him, so apparently he did something wrong. Taking a senior non-commissioned officer’s stripe can only be done at Department of the Navy level upon recommendation from an O-4 or above.
And no...Trump DID NOT file anything. He stated his wishes in a tweet. The Navy Secretary said that he’d gotten no official directive from the Executive Branch, so he planned on proceeding with the Trident removal.
The Navy Secretary would do no such thing if the Seal’s commander and the Special Ops commander didn’t recommend his removal from the Seals.
Furthermore, they weren’t removing his Seal status based on the crime he was charged with in the trial. They were removing his Trident based on conduct unbecoming of a senior non commissioned officer. There was no double jeopardy here.
So again, the President is putting himself between the military and the UCMJ...unprecedented, and it’s unprecedented for a good reason. And in Trump’s case, he doesn’t know enough about that line of work to be inserting himself into matters that have a depth and tradition that’s WAY above his knowledge level. Trump knows absolutely nothing about the UCMJ and what military units have to do to maintain order. And in a group like the Seal Team, discipline is a must.
BTW...every schmo facing UCMJ thinks they’re getting railroaded. Is Trump gonna step in and give all of them a “just outcome” too?

It sure looks like vengeful people were mad that Chief Gallagher was found innocent, and wanted revenge by destroying the man's career, over a minor offense of posing with a corpse.
The fired Navy Secretary Richard Spencer last week suggested a possible split with Trump by telling Reuters that Gallagher should still face a peer review board.
The SEAL was acquitted by a military jury in July of murdering a captured and wounded Islamic State fighter in Iraq by stabbing him in the neck, but it convicted him of illegally posing with the detainee’s corpse. That had led to his rank being reduced.
Gallaher was accused of several crimes including Murder of a terror suspect, shooting at civilians and posing with a dead body by his unit members. He was acquitted of all charges except posing with a dead body. The medic changed his story in the middle of the trial and claimed he killed the boy that Gallagher stabbed by strangling him.
He was demoted and convicted for posing with a dead body, Trump previously intervened and restored his rank. The hearing to remove his Trident and that of 3 others was in progress when Trump intervened.
He was forced to choose between Trump and the Constitution, and he chose the Constitution. It cost him his job, but not his reputation. The man is a patriot.

Spencer played a dangerous game... He was going to disobey his commander while lying to his commander about what he was really doing... He got caught and fired.... Liberals says he was a hero... I see a lying, disobedient POS.... Turns out he was really a zero...
Trump was also preparing to issue a pardon back in May prior to the trial but backed off. I don't see any clear reason for this group pardon other than politics.
