Not only that, every hour spent on removing Trump is an hour that they are not investing into the growth of their own party which seems to be in shambles. I almost feel sorry for them. They lack direction and organization.
I'll use an analogy of how I view the Democratic Party. Let's say you have a nice big front lawn in front of your house. Your hired gardener is spending 90% of his efforts to try to catch the big mole (Trump) and the rest of the lawn is now a weed infested eyesore.

Democrats hate the constitution unless they can use it to their advantage.
They have been doing nothing but shrieking negative publicity at the man since he won the election, including the two months before he actually took office. They've tried everything in their propaganda playbook to turn elections against, the people, the polls, whatever...and yet, he remains the winner.
The longer they drag this out, the more nakedly partisan and political this looks. Two years of Russia probe got them nothing. 25th Amendment threats, emoulements clause threats, impeachment articles offered up 7 times prior by at least one representative in the House, and oh yeah, two networks (MSDNC and CNN) and at least 2 major newspapers (NYTimes, WaPo) all shedding any remaining vestige of objectivity and being 24/7/365 anti-Trump propaganda outlets since literally one minute after his inauguration. And it has gotten them nothing.
What the ever living f*** are they going to come up with now that they haven't already tried...all of which has done what so far? Motivate his base? improve his polling with independents, minorities and all of America between the coasts?
And oh by the way...again, this exercise is being undertaken to get at least 20 Republican senators to vote yea for destroying their party and their own careers.
Yeah...something says Trump will be fine.

Some people are urging Pelosi to have the impeachment vote in the House but to not send the articles to the Senate if McConnell refuses to hold a trial with witnesses. Trump would remain impeached forever and never exonerated by the Senate. He could never crow about being found not guilty.
I think she should do it. McConnell does not want a fair trial presumably because he knows Bolton will sink Trump. If Trump is not guilty he should welcome an open fair trail not a whitewash.
Bolton can make up whatever he wants just out of spite, so this has nothing to do with guilt, just slander.
Why would Trump welcome slander?
When I watch Pelosi speak, I feel like I am watching a commercial for Botox, Super Poligrip, and Jack Daniels all at once.
When I watch Trump I feel like I'm watching the gluttonous exploding fat guy Mr. Creosote from Monty Python. It works both ways.
