If someone is forced to work at any job, for anyone, for any period of time, then the entity doing the forcing has expressed a higher claim on that person's life, liberty and property than they possess for themselves.

That, boys and girls, is the definition of slavery.

So please reword the title question to be intellectually honest: "Should people be enslaved and belong to others?"

Asks the same question, just does it with honesty instead of euphemism.

I thought you couldn’t get blood out of a stone. LOL.

The poor commits the most crimes both by absolute number and by percentage. Google it.

The poor also pays ZERO taxes but receive virtually all the welfare and benefits this country can offer.

So far, I , like 72% polled, have said no one should be enslaved to pay for others.

Which is the only morally and logically consistent answer. Good on ya!

I force no one. That’s our government. I gladly contribute in taxes and other charities in many ways. I support and help the VAW, plus military in my area. I’m a widow with grown kids. Lots of love to give to others, I see a lot of things most shut their eyes at and claim it doesn’t exist.

You elected the politicians forming the government to implement your policies. Yes, the root cause is YOU.

The poor commit crimes and are caught, this is true - the rich commit high money crimes and pay fancy lawyers to get out of it. One study shows shoplifting is 30% higher in those that make $70K a year - go figure?
But in reality the ones collecting most entitlement are the elderly at 90% including those who can afford to do with our Govt help at all.
The poor doesn’t pay taxes. True. But neither do the wealthy- ask Buffett.

Buffett has paid taxes every year since he was 13. Google it.

The top 10% of income earners pay 2/3 of all federal income taxes while the bottom 47% pays zero.
