Agreed. All the revenue by oil in N Dakota stays in N Dakota.

Look at Texas. They don’t even have a state income tax. So stop making excuses for these failures.

That is fine by me. So let's do something about the poor southern states run by republicans. Republicans have done nothing for them.

If you savagely attack the president - then snivel and beg for favors the next day
You could be a Democrat

For any mayor or governor to blame Trump for their inner-city is so weak.

Sorry, it’s a classic liberal line of thinking... They screw it up and demand others to fix their self inflicted problems.

De Basio “thinks” more section 8 housing vouchers, from the federal government, will fix all their problems... Wrong!!!

If NYC was so worried about their people, then why did they, yes, the mayor AND the governor should have stopped that woman-child, AOC, from chasing away Amazon. Amazon, would have brought in thousands of jobs... And Amazon has historically hired the homeless, who willing clean-up and work.

Seriously, NYC problems area ALL self inflected and now they can’t cover it up anymore with more lies.

Good luck NYC!!
Amazon won't even hire long term unemployed. Back in 2008, 2009, and 2010 they were even openly advertising that one of their requirements were that you must have been employed within the past six months. People complained, and then they weren't as open about it, but they wouldn't have changed their hiring practices. Why would they hire the homeless when they wouldn't hire the long term unemployed and help keep some of them from becoming homeless in the first place?

If the federal government has to bail out NYC, for a self inflected wound, then the federal government needs to manage/supervise and account for how the funds are actually used.

If NYC or the State of New York is wanting the federal government to send them a check with zero accountability, screw that since that’s why they’re in the mess that they’re in now. The city or State cannot be trusted to spend the money properly since it will be added into their “general funds” account and simply disappear into thin air... With the rest of the monies they get from their own tax payers.

I don’t care if the people of NYC or the State of New York has a problem with some “adult supervision” because they need it, in order to balance out their own books again. If the federal government helps them out of their own self created problems. It needs to be made very clear... In plain English, that this isn’t their money, it’s AMERICAN PEOPLE’S money AND it needs to be spent on the needy... Not spent on more multi million dollars “study” on why the homeless are homeless or a million dollar “fact finding” tour... Code for vacations for the political elite and all their friends.

We all know why people are homeless!! Another multi million dollar study isn’t going to enlighten anybody anymore than they are right now!!

Not being heartless, but NYC and the State of New York needs to stop funding all their “special programs” for illegal aliens. Free isn’t free when you’re in violation of numerous federal laws by creating “sanctuary” cities and States... Again, a self inflected financial wound that they did to themselves. I hope that the Trump Administration makes that a solid demand BEFORE any federal money is spent in NYC or the State.

...If you want to remain a sanctuary city and State, then solve your own problems.

We are a Union and each State needs to help each other, in an emergency and/or common defense, but when it comes to Federal money, some States can’t be trusted to use the people’s money wisely.

If the federal government bails out New York, watch, California, Washington State and many other wasteful States will demand the same amount of funds.

We have created a MONSTER with the Federal Government and the expectations that they will step in and FIX everything with our tax dollars. This was not supposed to be this way. The STATES were our primary government and the one we used, not the Feds who only had a few responsibilities like National Defense.

Yet we allow politicians to gain power on the Fed level by believing their promises of "free" stuff and help for all our ills. Madness. With that aid come FEDERAL CONTROL which is over bearing.

Pleads or asks for more Section 8 funding?

Depends on your bias.

Is the federal govt. holding back Section 8 funding. I don't know honestly.
