I just made the identical point one post up. That’s the same thing we saw when Omar spewed her antisemitic tropes - and liberals rushing in to add in “we oppose Islamophobia too.” It diminishes what we see happening with the recent floodgate of antisemitic attacks in NY, and in doing so, it emboldens antisemites.

EVERY attack, huh? A few posts up I posted a montage video of multiple attacks on Jews just randomly walking around town, being attacked usually by large groups of young black men.
They don't seem to TAKE anything from their victims. Just beat, run over, etc.

Also, by accepting this point of view, it means that you are accepting that racism against blacks isn’t really something isolated to blacks. Is that your position? Because if it is, you have a lot of irrelevant posts on this forum.

Lifetime NYer here. There are a few things causing the attacks on the orthodox population. First is the presence of the Black Isrealities, a fringe group of racists that hate Jews for not being real Jews in their eyes. The Jersey City attackers were members and the Monsey attacker had stuff on his computer about them.
Also under DiBlasio there is a trend towards decriminalizing everything and letting things slide. There have eliminated bail for a majority of crimes, apparently even assault as a black woman who attacked Jewish woman was let out on her own recognizance just to commit another assault the next day.
Criminals and miscreants have been emboldened under DiBlasio. Attacks on the gays by black criminals is also up. Over the holidays a group of black teens beat a 60 year old gay man to death for $1 after he told them he had no money.
I lived through the 70s and 80s in NYC. It is starting to get the same vibe recently. That is what happens when you coddle criminals. It started with not being aggressive against those who were attacking cops over the summer and has escalated and spread. Add to it NY's stringent anti gun laws and criminals realize none of their victims will be packing heat and are defenseless.
Thanks. I am trying to reconcile how NYC crime rate is so low in light of how you say the Mayor is making life easy for criminals. It would seem to me that the reverse would be true. How much was bail when NYC had 2000 homicides?

Oh, Boo Hoo, poor me. The difference is, those other groups got over it, and stopped being victims long ago. Racism, anti LGBT, and anti Jewish sentiment is rampant in the Black Community, but the Media covers for it. I mean, you can't be racist and a bigot if you're Black, right?

The violence in NY targets Ultra- Orthodox communities, often where they live. The Ultra- Orthodox don’t look, dress, speak or behave like most Jewish people. The majority of Ultra- Orthodox Jews in the US live in NYC, NY state and NJ. Likely, most people who live elsewhere in the US have never encountered an Orthodox Jew.
This incident occurred in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, a very diverse community, that like many areas of NYC is experiencing gentrification.
Tension between the Ultra Orthodox community and Caribbean Islanders and other blacks going back decades. There were riots in the early 90’s following an accident when a car in an Ultra Orthodox vehicle parade hit and killed some Caribbean Islander children.
Then there are the street conflicts between the Orthodox and white hipsters, especially bicyclists. There is Orthodox resentment of the cyclists in their bike shorts and bare chests, riding through “ their neighborhood”. Some Orthodox youth throw stones and rocks. Older Orthodox yell. This has attracted more hipster cyclists, including women who flash the Orthodox on the street.
There is a long standing relationship between the Ultra- Orthodox community and the diamond industry. There is wealth and poverty within the Ultra Orthodox Community.
Gentrification has put the Orthodox, islanders and black populations on edge because demand has caused property values and rents to rise faster than incomes. Some are cashing out and some seek more affordable housing in NJ and parts of NY state and in doing so are creating unique challenges in other communities.
The Islander and black populations are not wealthy nor do they have a singular community purpose as the Ultra- Orthodox.
