To me the Far Right and Far left are pretty much the same people and have more in common then they might think what is needed is some type moderate middle.
plus having such divisive politics is toxic for eveyone it falls into the centuries old Divide and Conquer philosophy.

I'd generally agree with your professor. The main difference is that actions of the far left often hidden or not discussed by the MSM in the same way as actions by the far right are. This is usually due to uncomfortable demographics of far right attackers that doesn't fit the narrative being pushed by leftists.
I can imagine it's hard to get any action when you are stuck living in your parent's basement... That would likely explain much of the hostility and aggression. But hey, AOC thinks it would be cruel for them to bring children into the world, since the world is going to end in 12 years... So they should keep following their ranking comrad's orders and continue embracing virginity.
