How many more of his inner circle have to be locked up before you consider the swamp to be drained?

Putting someone under indictment as a witness in front of a Jury of mostly lawyers ? Seriously?

As it is there isn’t any timeline when the trial will end. The longer it goes, the worse for the Dems.Just imagine, Joe, Hunter, Adam, Nadler , Debbie Waserman Shultz, and yes, the actual whistle blower, his former co worker that works for Adam, etc. All fair game.

And on the other side of the coin, Trump claims Executive Priv, so no Bolton, Mulvaney , Pompeo. Roberts will not rule them in. Just as the Court has stayed away previously.

McConnell is running the show now, not Nancy. He will act to protect the Repub Senators that are up for reelection. He will seek to navigate a course with the least amount of damage. Not so much for the Dems however, they could be looking like the Titanic in no time.
So you are saying the Dems won't want to call Parnas.....okay...so then the Republicans should want to call him right?

This Parnas guy maybe a shady guy -- but um -- he was working for Guiliani -- so what does that say about Trump's right hand man? What does that say about Trump?

I'm not convinced this impeachment process is going to 'sink' the Democrats. If they hadn't pursued this course, all this other stuff would never have been revealed and as the USMC finally gets signed --- a China trade promise to deal gets signed (look this first deal is so preliminary it really does not change much -- except taking China off the naughty list for currency and removing/not adding tariffs)........that might have been the focus. It isn't.

Trump and his band of jokers (Rudy, Parnas) are looking like they were playing dirty. Not being able to call folks that might have credibility to clear Trump (Bolton, Mulvaney, Pompeo, etc.) may not work in Trump's favor.

Dems have to hammer that if Trump is so innocent there should be nothing to hide .

And just a little note. I was not on the impeachment train from the get go. I always thought that the Senate wouldn't pass it and that it just becomes an asterisk by Trump's name in the history books that the House impeached Trump like the Clinton impeachment. I think there is enough there to campaign on Trump's erratic foreign policy and international policy. That health care has not been resolved -- no good alternatives presented etc...that the economy is good in spite not because of.

So I'm not a big fan of the impechment -- but truth is -- we are there and it is what it is. I'm not convinced this doesn't look bad for Trump. All this other stuff -- whether or not included in a trail paints a rather disturbing picture. Trump wasn't revealed to have had a little play time with an intern in the Oval Office -- he's accused of using foreign govt. for personal gain. That's far more dangerous for the country than Clinton getting a dress dirty in the Oval Office.

What does anything say about Trump? Nothing new under the sun. The emphasis by Repubs is that this just does not meet the criteria to remove a President in an Election Year. Let the people decide. That’s the safe way out.

What do the DEms have to gain? Who really thinks 57 Senators are going to vote for removal? Is it another Hail Mary like the Mueller Testimony? How did that turn out?

“ all this other stuff” . yes, like all the” other stuff” the Dem shave thrown against the wall hoping something, anything would stick. Nothing new . Same old, same old. Voters are getting Impeachment weary , especially with Nancy’s delay. How doe sit look when they HAD to rush it through, a matter of “ national security” , it was urgent they said. What happened? Voters are taking notice.

Whatever was in the details of the China deal isn’t as important as the deal itself. The significance of a POTUS finally taking them on. No one else dared, and let the billions and billions keep pouring out of the country.

It will be the focus when the economy continues to hum along nicely. The Dems, a few months ago, were trying to create a buzz that a recession was forthcoming. Part of their package of desperation plans. It sure doesn’t look that way. And history as a guide tells us about President’s running for reelection in a robust economy.
Why has Trump tried so hard to prevent certain witnesses from testifying and keep documents from being seen? I for one want to hear from everybody concerning this.

Biden; 36 years in the Senate (arrived there at 30 years old), 8 years as VP.

Biden is the swamp.

That`s all you got? It`s Trump`s people that are going to be watching the Super Bowl behind bars and no one named Biden or Clinton will be with them. Sorry.

Seems there are different ideas on what the swamp is.

So you think the swamp is people who have done the same job for a long time.

I think it is more than that.

I don't believe that every long time serving Republican or Democrat Senator or House member is a swamp critter.

I do believe those that can be easily swayed by lobbyist are.....

The quickest and most effective way to drain the swamp is for all American voters to never, ever re elect anybody.

And stop with the pensions after 8 years of service.

My uncle, a former politician, told me many years ago, "it doesn't matter what initial is after their name, if they are in...vote them out!" The 2nd term is when they figure out how to game the system.
