Does anyone really believe that Pompeo is going to report on any nefarious activity regarding his lord and master? I don't trust any investigation this guy heads up. She was working under the supervision of the Sec. of State. at the time this all occurred. Pompeo is now Sec. of State, so it would only be prudent to see what his predecessor had been up to and get to the bottom of it, and if it was justified, by law.

Pompeo is in a squeeze on this one. Yovanovitch is a very sympathetic figure....and as a former ambassador, she has enough gravitas to REALLY press the issue. She’s also clean enough to hit the media circuit and make life miserable for Pompeo, who is desperately trying to save face for her firing without apparent cause.
He’s gotta put this fire out somehow. And Yovanovitch has plenty of fans in Congress.

I wouldn’t be so sure. This might have legs. Yovanovitch has the potential to be a real thorn in the side of the Trump Administration.
