" ... the 43-story 1290 Avenue of the Americas skyscraper spans an entire city block. Trump owns a 30 percent stake in the property valued at more than $1 billion, making it one of the priciest addresses in his portfolio, according to his financial disclosures."
"... Trump’s recent criticisms of China have been muddied by his own mixed messaging as well as by his numerous financial ties to the country. Those connections extend far beyond the Avenue of the America’s loan: Chinese state-owned companies are constructing two luxury Trump developments in United Arab Emirates and Indonesia. The president and his daughter Ivanka Trump, a White House adviser, have been awarded trademarks by China’s government. And his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has courted Chinese investors in at least one other real estate deal."
Add to that (obviously) Trump's branded products (ties and suits come to mind) which could easily be manufactured here, made in China and imported to the USA.
Bank of China has not had any ownership interest in that loan since late November 2012. Politico didn't bother verifying with Bank of China before posting the article. How TF are they a reliable fact checker when they do not even fact their own stories before publication?
On Friday evening, POLITICO received a statement from a representative for Bank of China USA, which had not been contacted beforehand, that the bank had sold off, or securitized, its debt shortly after the 2012 deal. A spokeswoman said the bank has no current financial interest in any Trump Organization properties. We updated the body of the article to take account of the bank’s statement. The original headline was changed to “Trump owed tens of millions to the Bank of China.”

They did fact checked it.
A 2017 document filed by the loan servicer listed Bank of China as one of the creditors.
Wells Fargo claimed they filed the document with error and is taking steps to correct it, Politico's fact checking uncovered this error by the bank.
This is a case of Politico reporting based on official paperwork filed by the bank, and it turns out the bank (or so they claimed) made a mistake.
And then Politico issued a correction as any respectable publication would.
Fox News could learn a lot from them.
If true, this raises question as to why the Trump Organization didn't know the wrong bank has an official claim on their property. It could be a no big deal, or it could be really huge deal if ever there is an issue with the loan. They have this asset that is worth a lot of money and they didn't bother to check who has a right to it. Stable genius. SMH.
Actually, that's fake news. It's sad that we have to keep doing your fact-checking for you.
If leftists like Hesychios had to restrict themselves to posting the truth, they'd have nothing to say at all.
Gee, that would be terrible, wouldn't it.
