There are currently 4 candidates fighting for nomination. All have significant issues:
1) Biden- He has consistently been the national front-runner and has a strong base among African-Americans But, unsteady debate performances, lackluster fundraising, and poor showings in the early states all threaten his candidacy.
2) Buttigieg- he is surging in IA/NH, is raising tons of money, and the indications are the Wall Street/Silicon Valley money will be flowing to him. But concerns lingure among many about his thin resume and poor showing among African-Americans.
3) Klobuchar- she does well in debates, has a strong electoral track record in a light blue/purple state. But it's unclear she can ever break out of 5th place anywhere outside MN.
4) Bloomberg- he has all the money in the world to stay in as long as he wants, but it's unclear if the former Republican who fought Walk Street regulation and endorsed stop and frisk has any real shot in a Dem primary.
Initially I thought Biden would pull away as Mayor Pete faded after IA/NH. But this is increasingly looking like 4 years ago when Rubio, Kasich, Bush and Christie all fought each other to win the "establishment lane" all the while no one emerged as the clear leader and Trump ran away with the primary.
"lying, dog-faced pony soldier". Is that an expression from the pre-boomer era? Why did he call her a liar?
Joe Biden already thinks he doesn't have a chance in NH, because as he thinks Warren and Sanders have the neighboring state advantage, which is nonsense if Klobuchar and Buttigieg can still do well.
If Klobuchar comes in third place, it might mean at Warren's loss. I wonder if Warren will go on offense on her as that would threaten Warren's lock on women vote popularity.
