It is unjust. It always has been. It has just gotten worse because of these asinine requirements from employers with their online job applications which go into the abyss or maybe it helps that more stores are closing up too.

That's fine with me but I didn't ask for an overflow of testosterone. I thought it was just me at first but now I'm seeing it's likely that they don't hire me in a few places because I have a vagina. As for the other places it is most likely because of me being me..no other reason.

They would be lucky to compete against an H1B visa worker, with that, the job is at least here in the states. Many jobs are just no longer here anymore...disappeared, gone, poof ... being done by people sitting in India, China, and Mexico. Kind of hard to compete with that.
I'm a designer in the automotive industry and we have teams of engineers, designers and digital sculptures at "Engineering Centers" that are in those countries.
People seem to forget that along with the millions of labor jobs that were lost, we lost many white collar jobs as well. Got to love Globalism !

Focus on Tech for retraining has more to do with the American job market then anything else. There are only a few areas in the job market that pay a living wage without significant training, apprenticeship, or college degrees. And some of those such as truck drivers is being replaced by self-driving trucks in the next 10-20 years.
Options for high school grads:
Welding, plumbing, electrician, maybe HVAC systems, and diesel mechanic.
That is not a wide range of options which is why areas like nursing and dental hygienist are getting more and more males entering.
I am curious as to what people tell their kids to get into if not going to college because I would like to know the options. I just don’t see many myself. Even a college degree is useless unless in certain fields for most.
Both parties run on job training. Neither party said it was to benefit Americans. I doubt many big business republicans or democrats are crying over outsourcing. Neither are the people fawning over the current stock market, much of those gains are made by eliminating high pay American jobs.
Eliminating a portion of the largest cost to a corporation IE American workers will continue.
