They are not violating federal law, if they want to change the ground rules for federal money then go for it. The police chiefs in these cities are behind their policies not some left wing radicals, they know what is best for their city.
"She was charged with the Federal crime of obstruction of justice". Ergo, your first sentence is flat out wrong.
Police chiefs are political appointees. Most are honorable women/men, but some, as in the case of sanctuary cities, do what's best for their careers, i.e., what the left wing radical elected officials tell them to do, not what's best for their cities.
Asylum for refugees is a human right under international law. Mexico can't absorb those people, it has problems of its own with the drug war that is fuelled by American $$$.
99.9% of all those asylum claims are unfounded and then out they go. Happens everyday.
Oh well. Couldn't care less about the inconveniences for illegal immigrants.
Kinda comes with the territory of being a law breaker and line jumper.
Next time they should pick somewhere easier to immigrate to... like Brazil.
Yep.
I've seen and heard over the yrs people on the right talking about liberalism being a disease or a sickness. I'm starting to think they may be right. I'm a center left guy and the craziness coming from the left is out there.
It’s strawberry harvest season in Florida. The farms are packed with undocumented workers and their families.
Tomato season is right around the corner.
A handful of states made eVerify of all employees law. These laws contain intentional loopholes, otherwise they had no chance of passing. Those employed before these laws are exempt as are independent contractors which are the majority of undocumented people.
No wall is high enough nor patrols deep enough so long as undocumented people from anywhere can easily find work and business owners face no serious consequences.for violating federal law.
Big Ag, the hospitality industry, the Restaurant Association and the US Chamber of Commerce lobbies oppose
EVerify.
I have no issue with turning undocumented people charged/ convicted of crimes over to ICE. Charge ICE a per diem fee for failure to promptly pick up the detainee.
They try in my county. Getting that room and board bill for illegals paid is another story.
