Still not seeing much. If you give Obama credit for that tepid recovery, I wonder what you think of how the economy is NOW?

And as far as the Recession being caused by the GOP, that's just simple minded thinking. How about Clinton and Barney Frank's everyone needs to own a home contribution or the repeal of Glass Steagall? Maybe some simple minded people still buy the nonsense that it was all on the GOP, but anyone who can think critically knows there was more to it than that.

Steered our country out of a Republican led Great Depression.

He broke down a wall, real or perceived that a black person could only dream of being POTUS but never actually do it. President Obama sent that wall crashing to the ground. Love him or hate him, he did what no other black person before him had ever done. The first time is always the hardest....

Some may say big deal. I can tell you how my son reacted, but I don't need to, because nearly every black person in the country reacted the same way. If nothing else he inspired a generation. He showed them that they could be more. I disagreed with Obama's politics, but I always respected him.

Some will say BS. Blacks knew that it was possible. Yeah just like it was possible to fly. Many knew it was possible, but until the Wright brothers did it, most doubted it. Look at how fast aviation took off after that.

Obama spoke with a vocabulary North of second grade. Was he petty and vindictive? Oh you don't hold that job and not feel the power to swat that annoying fly. That said at least he was discreet.

Your post is spot on...

Sure, the one who refuses to acknowledge Obama saved our economy is talking about "reality".

Then who did? The fairies from Neverland? Don't tell me you think it's the Republicans.

Nice story but in reality Bush signed the legislation that led us out of the recession not Obama. TARP, auto bailout and tax cuts.

Yes, that's what I said (thanks for backing me up), he would not implement it for the entire country.

Bush signed the legislation with practically the entire Republican party kicking and screaming. He did this only AFTER he allowing the big banks to fail triggered the biggest financial meltdown in our lifetime. It was the ultimate "Ooops" moment for Bush and he learned from it. Albeit, Bush's rescue was nowhere near enough to save the economy.

Obama passed his own bailout and other Keynesian policies that rescued the economy. All while the Republicans were screaming for murder that what we really needed was austerity. Remember "Austerity" was the Republicans' favorite word during Obama's first term and then suddenly they stopped talking about it after Keynesian actually worked???

Not to mention, the Republicans' obstruction of Obama's spending bill and subsequent reduction of spending had stalled the recovery and we are only seeing Obama policy's full effect after Trump pumped more money into the economy.

He made a total mess of this country with his failed forced health care.
