“ We would want to ensure we work to make it affordable, but we can’t control that price because we need to private sector to invest....price controls won’t get us there”.
Just because Bernie makes crazy claims during the campaign, doesnt mean anything...trump did the exact same thing, he has backpedaled on most of those now.
I predict, if Bernie wins, nothing much will change at all.
But Bernie didn't become clearly the Democrat frontrunner until just the last week. And the stock market has been plunging for just the last week.

Last week our Pacific ports (Los Angeles, Long Beach, Seattle, etc.) announced very large drops in both inbound and outbound container traffic due to the coronavirus. "The head of the Port of Los Angeles, Gene Seroka, told CNBC that Port of LA - the nation's largest container port by TEU - expects a 25 percent fall in volume for February."
A 25% fall in container volume will have a large ripple effect in our economy, which is mostly reliant on consumer spending. This is one factor that has market analysts slashing earnings forecasts. The stock market has to mark down stock prices if earnings fall below expectations.
Bernie has nothing to do with the stock market decline, that's just fake news put out by Trump and his followers.
Fox says Trump is expediting test kits. I will be shocked if they are available in months, but he might not have a choice if the rest of the world has them. No up side in acquiring the facts for Trump, just a downside.

Being monitored is not the same as being diagnosed. There is a shortage of test kits to diagnose those who may exhibit symptoms which are similar to common strains of flu.
