The Left is erasing our history, and tearing down our past, to create a new Socialist Utopia. You can't have a little factor like history and respect for our past getting in the way.

Because the Japanese wound up rejecting their militarism while these backwards-looking nitwits keep glorifying the Confederacy, and indulging in some awfully revisionist history to boot. The Confederacy was a lemming-like crusade to preserve a moral evil, and it destroyed the South for the next 100 years.
Japan had no choice, the US occupied them and were all but forced to do things like demilitarize, and even include in their constitution? that they cannot deploy outside their country.
The CSA never had such a chance to reform or change anything, they were defeated and disestablished.
My point is though there is a huge bitterness from many towards the CSA, an entity from 150 years ago that to this day lingers around in some form, yet no bitterness or even hostility and excuses when brought up, Japan and its past. Matter of fact, the US went through great lengths to accommodate and extend an olive branch to Japan right after the war, which a person can argue that the US treated Japan better than the CSA after the war.
It is this that I think the CSA from both sides has nothing to do with the CSA itself, but has to do with current politics.

The South would be a third world country if not for the blue states propping it up. I think the South should secede. You can take a few other states with you. Just be sure to take Moscow Mitch when you go.
