So far it’s been a disastrous response by Trump and Co. Few test kits. Telling people to go to work if they’re sick. Doesn’t believe the mortality rates of the disease are as high as they are. This is what happens when science and logic are placed on the back burner by Trump. He may have even been exposed to it at a CPAC meeting. Time is critical and hopefully we haven’t wasted it all. At least Trump played a lot of golf this weekend.

JANUARY: "Racist Trump is unnecessarily impeding travel from China!"

TODAY: "Trump isn't doing enough, he waited too long, blah blah blah..."

These damned if he does / damned if he doesn't threads grew tiresome about 3 years ago.

We didn't have a pandemic three years ago. He blew it by contradicting his own health officials. Even today he keeps tweeting distractions. It's ridiculous.

NO, he's not. He loves the spotlight and is obviously threatened by acknowledging that he doesn't know everything, so he cannot help himself from contradicting his own administration's experts, including the CDC representative at his first press conference. He also agreed and then seconds later contradicted himself while interacting with neurosurgeon and medical reporter Sanjay Gupta. Since then, he has continued to make inane statements about how his administration is handling the situation and speculating about the death rate rather than telling people to listen to the experts, something every other first world leader has done, even Boris Johnson! And if all of that hasn't been bad enough, during an truly cringeworthy visit to the CDC, he touted his own "big brain" and natural ability to understand virology and epidemiology. Uh-huh. None of his appearances have put my mind at ease about our government having things under control.

You expect him to tell everyone to panic?

Don't worry, your Left wing media is doing plenty of that already.

Trump's messaging is all wrong. He is suggesting this global crisis has been created to hurt him in November.

He bases his policy statements on how it looks for his electability. Sure every politician does to a point -- but for Trump it is all that matters.

That cruise ship sitting on the water was out there not because it was the safest, most effective way to deal with it -- but because Trump didn't want 'the' numbers to go up.

He didn't cite safety of others or othose on the ship --just the nubmers.

WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Putting Ben Carson out there. Ben may be a brilliant surgeon but he is the worst to put out there to carry a message. Ben basically admitted they had no plan yet. WRONG WRONG WRONG.

Trump says one thing, his task force says something else.

It's a mess.

Clearly I would never vote for Trump...not because he's a Republican but because of this kind of thing. I don't blame him for what is happening --- with the virus or market. But he's the head of the country, it comes down to him to 'manage' it. I agree with someone else here that if he just let his task force do their job. Get off the twitter...stop being so defensive it would work better for him. I would rather he would admit not being a doctor and let the experts handle it than to have him foolishly believe and try to convince others he has some kind of natural knowledge/skill with pandemics and viruses -- lol. That is pathetic.

No, but I don't expect him to act like it's no big whoop. No one has told anyone to panic. Do you have a link or a quote that a media person has said to panic? We would hope that the president would be capable enough to handle a national emergency like a pandemic. Guess that was too much to ask.

How unique and revolutionary. Another poll where everybody will vote along party lines.

I put a no because he seems determined to do nothing. He's busy golfing, talking about his poll numbers, and defending himself from the big bad media.

Trump is panicking because he can't make a deal with this virus.
