Some people will use ANY excuse to ban guns.

Does the presence of covid-19 cause people to buy guns more than they would have?

Or is it more likely that the presence of mayors who want to ban all sales of guns, will cause people to buy guns more than they would have?

BTW, what percentage of guns bought legitimately from a gun store (i.e. not stolen) are used in crimes by the people who bought them?

A pretty long document. Scroll down to the 11th page, A, Section 12-39, Point 6.

Seems unconstitutional.

Can the mayor give herself power to ban the first amendment or the fourth amendment?

Then how can she ban the second?

New Orleans mayor is following suit.

See Page 4, paragraph 4.

We are witnessing the real time destruction of any notion of individual rights (constitutional or otherwise), over a virus that has killed about 5K globally. Expect the pace to pick up as greedy politicians seek to outdo one another.

These mayors haven't actually banned firearms and ammo sales... yet.

They've simply given themselves the power to do it any time they want to.

Which is like seeing a camel with his nose shoved WAY under the tent flap, and reporting that no, the camel has NOT eaten all the food in the tent... yet.

And then read down to Point 8, I think, where we get into property seizure.

Does this mean that a local mayor can give himself the power to start enslaving black people if a nasty virus springs up?

Is the 13th amendment any more sacrosanct than the 2nd?
