Trump was asked about Fauci during the town hall today on Fox. Trump said he and Fauci are fine, Fauci is very busy, and not every member of the task force needs to be at every press conference.
Worst case if Fauci is booted from the task force-or even fired-does anyone really believe that a world renowned pandemic expert of his pedigree won't be able to find a job in the middle of a pandemic?
I'm still out of the loop. Did you guys gonna tar and feather Fauci yet? What's going on, is he bad or good?
Liberals want to further the narrative that Fauci and Trump are no longer best buds because Orange Man Bad. And we're all gonna die from coronavirus because Orange Man Bad. And old people should just hurry up and die because they're killing the economy and Orange Man Bad. Just another day in C-D Paradise. And Orange Man Bad.
I think Fauci ticked off Trump once too often. Trump probably doesn't want him around anymore to deconstruct the Prez's sugarcoating of the crisis. Ah well, the only honest man in the Corona cabinet defanged. Proves that in these times it's evil which triumphs over good unfortunately.
Yeah, I mean, I am not sure if he's been kicked to the curb... but besides his absence, Trump did some ranting in yesterday's presser along the lines of "If you listen to doctors, they'll shut the whole world down, and leave it that way for years!".. that is clearly a dismissal of the viewpoint of medical professionals generally, and Fauci is/was his point man from the medical and public health communities. Not a good sign.

Despite my dislike for Trump, do you disagree with his assessment of the opinions of the medical profession?
It's a balancing act. The information and expertise offered by medical professionals can be balanced with the information and expertise offered by Wall Street experts.
Neither should completely prevail. It has to be a mixture. The concerns of the economy balanced with medical concerns.

Fauci is 79 years old... clearly he's still enjoying working, as he's still very much on top of his game, but I don't think he "needs* the work. I'd say it's more that we need him. He is not someone with a lot of peers.

Yes, I disagree. He's basically saying even those advising us on a national level are idiots who are being way too careful. I'll trust the judgement of Anthony Fauci over Donald Trump, thank you very much. I haven't heard Fauci saying anything remotely like shut down the US for years. I am a scientist myself - another group that the President is deeply skeptical of. We have many doctors in my company, a pharma/biotech company, and I can tell you that Fauci's comments on the way that chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine should be handled were far better than Trump's.
