I would support whatever they read depending on what age they were, should be age appropriate. Although I would encourage them to not read anything by pundits because they really know nothing about anything.....just talking heads. My son has always been an avid reader though. He read Atlas Shrugged. Do you know how big that book is.
I would be more concerned with them reading anything by Sanders, AOC, Warren, or Waters.
I would prefer they read something that actually has value.
I'm not a fan of any of them because they're Statists. That said, sometimes it's beneficial to learn as much as you can about those you oppose or vice versa.
I read some of her stuff (and Ayn Rand) as a teenager to try to challenge my existing beliefs that I held growing up in San Francisco. My parents are stereotypical limousine liberals who scoffed and said I was just being contrary.
-Antisemitic (you can try to talk it off as being anti-Israel, but when she's hypocritically silent about the abuses of Israel's neighbors while reserving a unique scorn for the sole Jewish state and only true democracy in the region, we all see it for what it truly is);
-Pro killing of unborn babies (people who say they are pro choice but not pro abortion and yet don't criticize the act of abortion show their true colors . . . in any event, the effect is the same regardless);
-Pro open borders and anti-ICE and wants to put people who have zero right to be in our country over actual American citizens, which negatively impacts the US taxpayer and American worker;
-Pro teachers union over true education reform, which is a position that continues to disproportionately negatively impact black and Latino children throughout this country.
-Anti community development as was seen by her opposition to Amazon establishing its new headquarters in NYC, which would have created tens of thousands of six figure jobs (funny, how does she think she's going to fund her Green New Deal if not for wealthier taxpayers ).

LOL.
You and your husband would probably mesh quite well at a dinner party with the 60+% of my similar sounding Bay Area native family who are liberals, or are liberals who identify as independents.
Parents, how would you react if your child started reading Ann Coulter?
Proud? Disappointed? Something in between?
People should read anything and everything they want. I'm always pleased to have something interesting to discuss with my kids and a Coulter column would provide that.
Why would you let your kids read anything from a trans gendered man?
