Being both a Doctor and an ardent Trump supporter why do you figure Trump isn't allowing them to have a voice in the briefings as has been done in the past?
I would think that with daily briefings by Trump and local briefings by governors etc, the CDC as you say is focusing on the medical community, the front lines.

Gov. Cuomo could have anyone he wants at his news conference and would be the first to speak up if the CDC was being muzzled !!!

The CDC is still working and hard- but the speaker for CDC went on "The HILL " for an interview to express her concerns.

The CDC is becoming irrelevant. They dropped the ball again. They have been fumbling since it's inception. Instead of helping, they have been a roadblock of incompetence. Just another managing agency of Government kickbacks and greasing palms.
I'm wondering if the White House has forced them to stay behind the scenes and keep quiet? It's certainly not normal behavior by the CDC in times like these. We do have a paranoid President, so silencing the department doesn't seem unlikely. They have classified all internal discussions on the subject.
Trump smears himself. He doesn't need any help in that department.
