They're doing the same thing they did in 2008 with TARP and now again they are going to hospital monopolies with 100 billion dollars in cash, airlines, and private equity owners to keep financial capital in charge of our society's organization.

Its been killing us in more ways than one and EVERYONE in the senate voted for this.

When will you guys lose faith and realize the government is destroying this country. I know you guys love them but just think for a second.

Why is this happening again? Sure politicians spend the interim time talking against bailouts and for small holders of capital and community power, but when push comes to shove, they know who keeps the government funded, and they give them all the power with no stipulations.

Just give up.

If there is no business, what would the workers do?

Why is the senate protecting private capital and big business?
That kind of wealth redistribution is the meaning of their life.

I'll bite my tongue on this one, but you are getting played.

Keeping workers on a lease as a few dependencies isn't the way to organize a healthy society.

I get you have your own ideological leanings, but that doesn't matter. The bill gives a few life lines to unemployed workers while giving the bulk of the liquidity to hospital monopolies and target industries that keep private equity from losing their total asset value.

And why? So they can keep the government funded and keep determining the choices and behavior of the population.

And politicians have done it again, all of them. And people like you fall for it, each and every time.

It's a combination of access to lending to large businesses which are expected to reimburse the government, combined with grants to many common displaced individuals.

Airlines aren't walking away with grants.

They're walking away with government loans to keep them above water with no stipulation on any corporate action, they are once again given free range to do as they will and keep private equity from losing any value.

And for what, so they can keep management of the country and lease a lifeline to some low wage workers?

That is the totality of this country and the only reason hypocrites in the government pretend to care about communities or small capital holders.

You're getting played and yet you still stand by your government.

Give up.

What was that?

"Airlines would get the $60 billion bailout they asked for in the new Senate coronavirus stimulus bill, which would prohibit layoffs and ban stock buybacks and dividends"

"• A bipartisan coronavirus aid package in the Senate offers $58 billion to the nation's airlines, split evenly between loans and payroll grants.

"• The coronavirus bailout package, which aligns with requests made by US airlines, would prohibit stock buybacks and share dividends for at least a year after the loans have been repaid. It also restricts executive compensation.

"• Airlines would be prohibited from laying off or furloughing employees through September, should the crisis for air carriers continue past then, effectively protecting "hundreds of thousands of jobs," one union official said."

100 billion to the hospital monopolies that helped start the problem.

But it was bipartisan so you support it, you are getting played.

A year delay in stock buy backs means nothing, they just want to keep liquidity concentrated in the hands of a few board rooms, and everyone in the senate voted for it, just like in 2008/2009.
