I'm just grateful the Graham's come out of the Baptist tradition and don't have a bunch of faith healers in there like the Pentecostals would have.

Can anyone point out to me where there is a requirement for a purity test? A requirement one is a Christian, where they refuse to "hire" or treat anyone who is not a Christian?

Totally their prerogative. I mean, in an emergency situation, it’s incredibly stupid. The Christian thing to do, IMO, is to make sure that the amount of help and care is truly maximized, but still totally their prerogative.

Federal law allows religious organizations to " give preference" to members of their own religion.

I guess that Jews, Muslims and agnostics need not apply?

No. No Pap smears, or prostate exams, or kidney transplants or skin grafts or wisedom teeth extraction, either. Or anything else unrelated to treaty symptoms of this virus. WOO HOO!

I don't see where anyone has stated that they "hate" Christianity, and I respect the work that Samaritans Purse does in responding to medical crises. And since they are a private organization, their rules apply.
I'm not talking about Samaritan Purse hating Christianity. I'm talking about the hit piece Yahoo News wrote about them. That hit piece seems would have us believe that Samaritan Purse will refuse any volunteer who does not meet a pretty narrow Christian belief set. I was calling BS on that.

And why would you guess that?

Are you being sarcastic or serious? If you're being serious, then you need to look at Samaritans Purse' website; check out the FAQs; look at the question "Do I need to be a Christian to volunteer?"; and read their Statement of Faith" which they want volunteers to agree to support. It very clearly and in great detail lays out Christian doctrine, including "one genetic male and one genetic female marriage". So there are pretty specific and strict doctrinal beliefs that one must affirm in order to become a volunteer.

Go read them for yourself. Their Christian belief set is on their website, listed under the FAQs for volunteers, and specified for the individual questions. If I could look it up, so can you.
