Last time I checked going to the grocery store and pharmacy was essential. You know, stock up on food and all, it's not like I go there to hang out and socialize.

What am I missing?

It’s come to this – the White House is now advising everyone not to head to the grocery store or pharmacy in the coming two weeks.

“The next two weeks are extraordinarily important,” White House coronavirus response coordinator Deborah Birx said Saturday at a press conference. “This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe.”

Maybe try to get more groceries in one run (freeze extras) and try to get your meds delivered. Seems like a critical time.

Some people are going there to hang out. They’re bored. Target and Walmart, which sell lots of things other than groceries, have shoppers looking at clothes, bikes, toys. People aren’t just getting what they need and getting out, some are browsing, just to kill time.

Can they still find Spiderman underoos. Like the ones they sold in 1983? That would be so cool!

Uh oh! I just dated myself!

They are saying .... hide under your bed, don’t open your door.

Do what we say ..... Or ..... you will DIE, and kill all your family.

So far - NONE of their infamous Projections have come true.
Never the less .... do what we say ... OR ... you will DIE.

Sigh, this has been explained countless times, and the models even explain it. The models shown are various ones, but center on what actions if any take place. The worse case scenario models which or the most publicized, show what happens if no actions occur.

We are at over a 1000 deaths a day now, even keeping just at this, that is 365,000 a year.

Grocery stores have always been pretty darn germy. This is probably the first time many have been cleaned in months. People are using them as an excuse to go hang out or simply to get out of the house. Have we ever seen so many people shopping, I don't think so. It's really stupid. It's a pretty big no brainer to keep away from others right now.

not essential: Lottery tickets, Birthday cakes, Flowers, balloons, wedding cards, magazines, hair spray.

Lots of people have trouble figuring this out.

I've been going to the little gas station mart around the corner more to pick up some stuff rather than the grocery store.

I have to make more trips, but I figure there's still been way less people in there since most people go to the grocery store for food.
