The rich do pretty well in our country. The rich regard us as an inconvenience to be controlled. Even the electoral college was designed to override the will of the majority if need be. While I've always known that the middle and lower classes are inconvenient elements to be tolerated from time to time, it didn't really come home to me until the President said to Dr. Fauchi, maybe we can let this "wash over" the American people. Don't bother to dispute the "wash over" statement, it's well documented.

Every generation has parents or grand parents that would be extremely vulnerable to this virus which kills by suffocating their vital organs. The boomer generation would be more than decimated.

Why would the President make such a Stalinesque statement such as "wash over" if he didn't consider the size of dividend checks more important than tens of thousands of lives.

"Wash over" refers to establishing herd immunity by letting the virus run its course. Liberals love Sweden, which has chosen to do exactly that. In the absence of a vaccine, there is merit to that notion; such measures could help reduce the resurgence in the fall.

As long as you view yourself as a "victim", you always will be. Do you honestly think that "1%ers" (gee- I'm one) get up every day and think about how they will screw the poor? Are you kidding?

PS- The Electoral College was created so that small states were assured they would have some input on the selection of a president. Without the Electoral College, smaller states in the 13 colonies would have resisted the form of government we have today and we may not have had a union.

As usual, a huge number of bad assumptions in your post.

Capped off by a theory that runs counter to what other posters have written about how Covid kills older people which are more likely (R) voters.

P.S. How many electoral votes does it take to win the democratic primary?

He was asking a question about herd immunity in the early days of them getting their heads around the virus. He asked this question on March 14th, and given the fierce debate about herd immunity that has been going on since all this started, it wasn't an unreasonable question, and it certainly wasn't tyrannical or Stalinesque.

Hate on him for lots of stuff, but one of the few times he asked a legitimate, relevant question? Meh, grasping for things to be offended about, imho.

The new patriotism is to not admit the many weaknesses of our current system and or leadership. Instead....BLAME the China man. We are VICTIMS! Wahhhh...wahhhhaaaaa...sniffle sniffle.

It isn't new patriotism, it's old hat partisanship.

A Republican is president. That means the "patriotic" folks questioning government are Democrats, and the "go along with the program" folks are Republicans. 4 years ago, the Republicans were the questioning patriots and the Democrats played go along. The letter after the name of the person occupying the Oval Office dictates how your "new patriotism" functions.

Only those of us willing to be clowned/hated by everyone disregard that letter and the blunt, crude ideological categorization it supposedly represents. I recognize that every politician is a sociopath...either party, any level, anytime, anywhere. Only difference between Trump and Obama is the speaking style difference between a Bronx street corner and an Ivy League coffee shop. Beyond that, two identical sociopaths.

But on the topic - herd immunity is not an unreasonable question, and has been a properly relevant topic of conversation in the current situation.

The rich is counting on the poor to vote against their self interests time and time again. It's been working out so far in America.

The electoral college's main purpose is to put people in groups of silos. So basically one hyper active voting group doesn't get more representation than dully active groups, but whose neighbors would share their same opinion.

Since black people are a very dully active group, if the electoral system was applied on a state level black people would actually get considerably more representation. I can't believe as I type this, despite that liberals would want this, are too ****ing stupid to get it.

This thread is another great campaign add for Trump's reelection !!! Unintended as it may be !!!

The essential question is do we want an open mind or a closed mind to make decisions ?

The open mind considers all and the closed mind limits all !!!

Once the "wash over" was considered and analyzed Trump determined the death toll would be far to great !!!
Ideas with a better outcome were analyzed and selected in the end !!! Once the worst is known there is a starting point to arrive at better more beneficial policy's !!! Trump's wisdom far exceeds anything the closed minded offer !!!

The closed mind focuses on their power grab !!! Dam the torpedo's, full speed ahead !!! Casualties don't matter if the power grab is achieved !!!

Thank you for your support !!! Trump 2020 !!!
