I feel better now, a lot of your fellow right wingers are acting like Maher is all of the sudden the voice of reason.

He is libertarian, and to argue media and the left are one and the same makes me wonder where you get your information. I KNOW Trump gets his info mostly from the media, because he has a habit of tweeting lines copy-catted from the media.

Wow! EXCELLENT watch. He is pretty much spot on.

The clip is a good reminder of why I like Bill Maher so much, though I now rarely hear or see him. Why? Because I cancelled cable years ago and, last year, most of my social media accounts, in order to escape the nonstop media circus. Very happy I did, and I'm a "liberal." And there are lots of liberals like me.

My only explanation of this is that they are pinning all their hope on the economy suffering and people blaming the current administration for this.
That is EXACTLY what many are hoping for. They are actually happy to have the virus, if it would be the end of Trump. As they like to say, "The end justify the means". Sad thing for them is we have the virus and there is absolutely no way Trump loses the election if the DNC props up Biden to run against him. If they want to beat Trump, they better pick a better candidate than Biden. There are so many people who could beat Trump straight up, with our without the virus. They need to stop cheering for the virus. Focus on a better candidate than Biden.

If this keeps up at the current rate, and especially if we get hit with 'round 2' like China is right now...I doubt there will even be an election in November!

Imo, Federal and state govts are hanging on by a thread right now...they are in panic mode, trying everything they can to maintain order and control.

By the time fall rolls around, I believe it will be more clear how DEVASTATING this was to the economy, I would almost go so far to say, I would be surprised if by Sept, the federal govt is still functioning.

There might be an election, but if people are not allowed to leave their houses to vote, then you might as well say there wasn't one.

Mail-in option for everyone seems like the only way to preserve democracy.

It is complete chaos with Trump trying to remain relevant. IMO he will win in Nov anyway, so there is no need to the theatrics, and throwing money around.

A friend of mine received a bail-out check. He has not lost his job, so his income has not changed one bit, and he makes well over 90K a year. What's the point?

It’s a cesspool now. I find with this coronavirus news I had to stop watching because it was causing too much anxiety. As long as I know the symptoms and information about openings or store hours or other necessary news I’m fine, but when I watch I feel like I don’t know what’s real anymore. There is so much conflicting information. Any time someone posts something hopeful there are others claiming we don’t know and it’s selfish or giving false hope. It’s exhausting.
