Not only did Pelosi defend her decision to encourage Americans to visit Chinatown in February, but she also called the Trump administration's handling of the virus discriminatory as well as referred to Covid-19 as being a flu.

And where was this violence against Asian Americans coming from? Most of that seemed to be black on Asian violence in places like New York, not violence as a result of anything Trump was doing. Trump never encouraged anyone to rip masks off people's faces, throw buckets of water on people in frigid temperatures, and he definitely did not encourage anyone to play the knock out game. She is so full of crap...

Amazing that she is called out and still refuses to take any responsibility whatsoever. What the heck kind of racist violence is she even referring to? Why does everything get turned into racism with them? BTW - She was not the only one to encourage people to risk their lives and cause the death of thousands. Here are more of them. https://youtu.be/9lhmy-KlaI8

At 1:46 she literally called it the flu. WTH. Lefties have swarmed on posters here for merely comparing Covid-19 to the flu... But Pelosi can do no wrong according to partisan hacks on the left. If she calls it the flu, well then gee whiz, I guess it's the flu now

I would love to hear some lefties try to defend this. We could all use a good laugh these days, and to the left's credit, their clowns have kept the laughs coming. Sure does a good job of drowning out all the doom porn pumped out by the DNC's propaganda arm, the leftist lame steam media.

The way it is going now, it seems you won't get rid of these vain and useless fossils until they die off. Because you are too partisan to realize that a lot of stupid and avoidable mistakes have been made on both sides.

In this particular example, much of the tragedy could have been avoided at practically no cost or very little cost, had this empty-headed mummy and her team just been cautious instead of uber-PC about the whole thing. Heck, did they really need to have official info from China. Whoever watched YT knew that terrible **** was going on in China, and that from some brave Chinese youtubers and doctors, and that it had huge potential of going worldwide. Even if your politicians were afraid they would end up erring on the side of caution, that still didn't cost much then and they would always be able to say well, I wanted to protect our ppl from the pandemic.

But hell no, they were too busy entrenching themselves and shooting verbal blanks at each other, and so are you.

Another right-wing thread that is not aging well.

How San Francisco's Chinatown Got Ahead of the Coronavirus

Despite being particularly vulnerable to the novel coronavirus in the United States, Chinatown turned out to be well-prepared, unlike other places around the country. Chinese Hospital was at the center of an effort to coordinate barriers for entry of the virus. These involved almost every major institution in Chinatown, including the Chinese-language press and deeply engaged neighborhood institutions, all of whom were imprinted with memories of earlier infectious disease outbreaks. Deep links to front-line health workers in China would also be invaluable as Chinese Hospital worked to avoid what everyone thought was coming.

Peskin saw the effects of this informal campaign every day when he drove through Chinatown on his way to City Hall. “For a while it was kind of startling that on one side, on the north side of Broadway, everything was ‘normal’ and nobody was wearing masks,†he said. “And the second you would cross Broadway into Chinatown, everybody was wearing masks.†Nonetheless, the perception of Chinatown as a potent hotbed of the coronavirus quickly took hold. In February, well before a single COVID-19 case had been detected in San Francisco, tourism in Chinatown evaporated. On Jan. 31, President Donald Trump had announced travel restrictions to and from China, and before long he was referring to “the Chinese virus.†Attacks against Asian Americans jumped nationwide. In late February, Speaker Nancy Pelosi returned to her home district of San Francisco and took a high-profile tour of Chinatown, arm in arm with community and business leaders. “Everything is fine here,†she said. “Come, because precautions have been taken.â€

Pelosi (and the San Francisco Board of Supervisors) were well aware of the steps taken by Chinatown to fight the coronavirus. Her tour was to highlight what Chinatown did, what other areas can learn from them, and to raise awareness that Chinatown is no more dangerous than other places at that point in time.

How you like them apples?

The only thing that isn't aging well is literally every Democrat "leader" in the country. From Pelosi to Biden to Schumer, they're all aging senile morons who know nothing except attack Trump and divide the country. You should be ashamed of your party.

The left will ONLY blame Trump & Republicans. They lose all credibility when they refuse to admit what their own side said. If they would simply watch what was said and admit it, then we can have a rational conversation about who gets what % of the blame. But they won't, as their only agenda is to blame the Bad Orange Man. They have nothing to offer beyond that.

One trick ponies. They got away with pulling out the R-word for a long time.

If a politician says up, you say down.

That's how it works, folks.
