Very informative website that not only captures the history, but daily updates on the current crisis for today and coming weeks:

https://www.devex.com/news/covid-19-...outbreak-96396

As of today, 14,390 deaths in the United States.

NEVER FORGET!

Had we had a Federal Pandemic Office allowing action to have been taken back on January 21, 2020, the United States would be in a totally different place today.

How did we get here? Same as always.. Idiotic management playing reactive instead of proactive and blatantly IGNORING issues until its too late. Its run many a company into the ground along with america quite a few times over.

All problems in America 9 times out of 10 resort back to poor leadership. This pandemic will go on for a year at least and continue to run this country into the ground. This pandemic will pop back up 1-2 more times when people let their guard down. This issue could essentially tank the country for years and year if not forever. Years ago we had effective leadership to fix and avoid problems. Thats long gone

At the end of the day its our fault. Why? We let idiots run companies into the ground and we vote idiots into office who already have a track record of being unqualified and then we're "surprised" when the country goes down the toilet?

Exactly, you nailed it.

As of today, now 14,797 deaths.

Even after the so called border to China were supposedly closed, 40,000 people still came into the US.

Govt health care. You want it, boy do you get it.

By the way, the real crisis isn't the virus, but rather the unhinged and illegal responses to it.

America's road to COVID-19 disaster may have started with policies against BCG vaccination.

Yet ANOTHER thread from a liberal trying to blame Trump? Put the blame where it lies: on China and the WHO, who either willfully or negligently hid the severity of this virus, and allowed it to spread to 150 nations. And just imagine how much worse it would have been if a Democrat like Biden had been in charge: in his effort to show how welcoming he is to foreigners, even ones from an virus-infected nation, he would have allowed the Chinese flights to keep coming in. We would be in an exponentially worse situation today if he, or some other liberal driven by identity politics, were in charge.

We got here through MEDIA and Bureaucratic generated panic and the acquiescence to dealing with a virus like we've never dealt with one before. Horrific economic collapse and unnecessary panic and total shutdown.

That's going to be a tough election year sell to non-partisans since we're doing as well or better than almost all of Europe.

I think there are better, more effective strategies at trying to beat Trump but that's just my 2 cents.

Some of these leftists are desperate with all their blame-Trump threads. Other than extreme leftist partisans, people know that had China and the WHO been forthcoming, we (and the other 150 countries) would not be in this situation. Some of them are so intent in defending China that they object to calling it the Chinese or Wuhan virus.
