NY has famously forced churches and synagogues to close due to Covid. Not arguing with that-it makes sense to close unnecessary social gatherings at times like these. I have seen claims on Facebook that mosques however are open. Any truth to that? I have looked on line and haven't been able to verify it from reliable sources. Nor refute it. Thanks.

The thing is -- Trump and friends want Muslims to do something stupid like the Christians in the south -- and go to their church and pray -- so they can say -- see they get away with it.
Seriously you have not seen the people going to church -- the Christians? - Those Christians say they are washed in Jesus' blood -- that virus doesn't have a chance.

This mosque is in Syracuse, four hours upstate from New York, in a county that has had a total 724 cases and 23 deaths vs. the few hundred thousand cases and 15K deaths in the city.
If you look at the websites of the NYC mosques, you'll see that they have notices that congregational prayers are cancelled and the notice to pray at home, as well as videos and other information about how to observe Ramadan without coming to the mosque. Ramadan begins about an hour from now.
