Which one should be nominated first for the Pandemic Hall of Shame?

DeSantis: Resisted stay at home orders, endangering his state's high numbers of vulnerable seniors.
Kemp: Pushing for reopening prior to his state's predicted peak.
Noem: Complete inaction to her state's outbreak and pushing the malaria drug after the VA showed it's dangerous and ineffective.
Goodman: Reopen the casinos and make our citizens a "control group" to study if it's safe or not (?!)
Trump: Dawdled and downplayed the threat during the early stages of the pandemic

Cuomo, without question. 21,000 dead. Death rate of over 1000 per million population, worst in the nation by a long shot. Noem of SD has a death rate of 12. The lowest in the continental US; only an island has done a better job of slowing the virus. Cuomo has been an utter disaster with nearly 100 TIMES more deaths per million people. Or you could say de Blasio, since the majority of those cases are from NYC.

Florida has a larger population than NY, with only 1000 deaths, 1/20th of NY. And a rate of 50, also 1/20th of NY, and in line with most rural states with a dispersed population. I'm not positive, but I would suspect that the population of Florida is older, with a higher concentration of at-risk individuals as well-making Cuomo's results look even more pathetic in comparison.

I don't think anyone can question that. Well, not anyone that can do math.

Not sure Goodman really counts. She’s dumb, no question there, but she has no say over the casinos opening or not.

Cuomo has done a good job considering the hand he was dealt. New York was doomed when you had sick Europeans streaming into the international airports before we all knew the pandemic was for real. Can't blame him for that.

Is this a troll poll? To say the list of options is both severely partisan and incomplete is a massive understatement.

I listened to part of the rant she gave at the city council meeting. I thought she was very dismissive of the COVID threat to public safety.

Cuomo and DeBlasio. They failed to act and seal off their craphole and prevent it from infecting the rest of the country. And they both sound like China Joe with the rambling chatty histrionics they spout.

California had sick Chinese streaming in before NY had Europeans. Much as I dislike Newsome, he did OK. He is dealing with a death rate of 41. Even WA, where the virus first exploded in this nation, has a rate of 99, less than 1/10th that of New York. Cuomo has been a disaster for the people of NY. Worse, his failure has lead New Yorkers to infect much of the nation. NJ, CN and MA are hit hard.

Not at all. I'm listing all of the prominent elected officials who are or who have been contrary to scientific and/or medical advice on COVID response, regardless of party affiliation.
