the really shocking part to this is that R.E.M. whom i saw in concert multiple times in the late 80's early 90's is old folks music nowadays. It was one of the first signs I knew i was getting old when a radio station announced they were playing a "Golden Oldie" and it was the Thompson Twins "King for a Day" another mid 80's tune. So both videos could easily apply to Boomers. End of the World is 35 years old at this point, YIKES.

And thank god..........I wouldn't want the popularity of the Thompson Twins blamed on my generation.

OP, why are you so obsessed with Boomers?

Did a Boomer personally do something horrible to you?

Yeah they caused an economic depression and stuck me with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt.

Yes Gen X music is oldies......as we Gen Xers are getting to be (gasp) old. I’m starting to see those Buick’s as nice comfortable riding cars and all the 70s and 80s music I listen too is “oldies”. I feel like the “oldie” when I hear the Thomson Twins being called an oldies group.

If you really believe that, your education has utterly failed you.
