correct, it's their citizens' responsibility to fight for what they believe is right. not mine.
you're making a big assumption that what you think is right is best for them.
once you change that mindset, and we get our noses out of other people's business, the world will be a better place.
It's your responsibility to stand against an immoral act regardless of who is doing it and its location.
Simply saying I stand against it will suffice. When a mugger puts a luger in your rib cage as you walk down the street you can surely see the distinction of giving him the wallet vs consenting to the act, no?
So again, I ask you as an individual (not a government or a corporation) do you believe an involuntary 3rd party has the right to infringe upon he right of someone to own property as well as the freedom of association and movement?
Clearly the logic of a ban on these types of firearms being sold in Canada, in response to an extremely horrific and rare crime in Canada will never happen again because it will completely stop all illegal smuggling of these types of firearms into Canada. Correct?
Darn, problem solved.
Or, illegal smuggling of these types of firearms into Canada will actually increase due to the ban.
Wait, what?
The base I worked on for 20 years had a large theft of weapons once. 20 M 14s in this haul. The culprits were caught but had already fenced the rifles. Only one was ever recovered.
In Canada. Yes, I'm certain that banning legal arms sales of the 1500 firearms on Trudeau's hit list to law abiding citizens will stop weapons smuggling into Canada.
But hey if this is what Canadians want and they believe it will make them safe have at it. Just keep it in their side if the border
Saw the article on this. Interesting that what Canadas government considers "military grade assault weapons" is pretty much ALL semi automatic firearms.
Like the Remington 7400. Yea, that's "military grade" all right. .........
You sure about that? It's a bonafide hunting rifle:
Assault rifles are for soldiers and, apparently, frightened Yankees.
Canadian civilians have no need for them.
It wasn't about assault rifles though. It is about semi auto "military style" rifles which wraps up features that have no affect on a rifles parameters.
Thankfully I know there are Canadians that see through this "Feelz Good, Darn it we are doing something!" nonsense and call it for what it is.
“Justin Trudeau is using the current pandemic and the immediate emotion of the horrific attack in Nova Scotia to push the Liberals’ ideological agenda to make major firearms policy changes,” said the Conservative leader, Andrew Scheer, following Trudeau’s comments. “Taking firearms away from law-abiding citizens does nothing to stop dangerous criminals who obtain their guns illegally.”
You need more Andrew Scheer types and less Justin Trudeau types regarding this particular topic.
