Love me an assault weapons ban. They should be the norm everywhere. Own handguns for defense and rifles for hunting, if you must. But it will never happen.
That’s Canada’s business. He’s doing what’s best for his own country. Americans didn’t elect Trudeau...his countrymen did. His election passes for consent.
If they don’t like it, they can vote him out. I don’t know why Americans are complaining about it. SMH
Oh look the country with one of the highest rate of gun violence/gun accidents/gun deaths per capita is judging other countries for their gun policies -- that have much lower rates of .........
What do you all care..
Americans always have something to say about other nations but can’t fix their own.
I’m an American, I own guns, to include AKs and ARs. What Canada and the Canadian people choose to do, within their borders, is their business. I wish them well.
The people in the United States, we’re a divided people, leading to a divided nation and to the best of my knowledge, the Canadians are not in as bad of a shape as the American people. So!! As an American, we American should mind our own business on this one and fix our own issues before we decide what’s best for other countries.
PS, I’m not a fan of Trudeau and I’m sure many Canadians are not a fan of Trump, so all is good.

Exactly, he campaigned with this. Also, I read 80 percent of Canadians agree with this, and 45 percent of gun owners do.
No one has yet explained why someone needs such weaponry. Gun fetishes aside, it makes no sense.
Alberta is much like our Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Dakota's. Independent and not at all trusting of big government. I could be wrong but I believe a large chunk of Canada's tax revenues and resources come straight out of Alberta, but due to the Canadian political system the Eastern Provinces benefit from it the most. In short they don't have an electoral College to protect them.
I suggest you do much more research on the topic, since basically almost everything you have stated is untrue.

You are correct.
"In dollar terms, the 2000 to 2009 average shows that Albertans lost the most, with a net loss of $3,852 per person annually in the federal taxing/spending equation. (British Columbians lose $666 per person and the figure in Ontario is $1,548.) Quebecois are net gainers, with $730 per person to the good, while Prince Edward Islanders have won the lottery, with $5,838 in federal spending per person, in their favour."
Nothing says "order over chaos" than the Canadian government, responsible for thousands of murders each year, being allowed to own guns while regular individuals who will never kill anyone are not.
Point taken.
