This is pure FAILURE all over the place. How about a mandatory shut down until we get competent leadership?

What's your point? You don't think he should self quarantine?
I think his point is that this virus has penetrated to the highest levels of the government now due to the fact that they have had a rather cavalier attitude regarding taking precautions.
Now if a democrat was in office this would be a sign of sheer incompetence. But for Trump's white house it's just "unfortunate luck"..
DJT has fully committed himself to the side of the protesters who are openly ignoring social distancing and not wearing masks. He can hardly be seen wearing one himself, or it would be seen as a betrayal to his minions. He's a gambler and he's accepted risk for himself and his pets.

Imo, Fauci, Redfield, Birx should always wear masks - of course, if they had, Trump would have fired all three.
It should be obvious that this is a highly contagious virus and it is everywhere! It has nothing to do with Trump & the government being overly lax. I suspect there are a massive number of people under 40 who have had it & have had no idea that they were infected.

Of course, they've been lax. If they were careful, they'd be wearing masks. I've been wearing a mask since the middle of March before anyone else around here was because I KNOW from the extensive reading I've done the mask protects me as well as others.
As you said above - "it is everywhere" - and this is EXACTLY why everyone in the WH should wear a mask. Most of them leave every day - and interact with others elsewhere - their kids, family, nannies.
It is only a matter of time before they bring it back with them.
Trump is still holding large meetings - no one wears a mask. Doesn't matter if their chairs are six feet apart. Virus can circulate through a bldg's HVAC - which Chinese have learned - and which is why doctors in the US put hospitalized COVID patients in negative pressure rooms, if they can, to reduce the likelihood of exactly that.
People in WH are still are much too relaxed about how easily this virus is transmitted. It is EVERYWHERE and you can get it from just about anyone or anything. They really don't comprehend the contagion at all and refuse to accept that masks can protect THEM as well as the people they are in contact with.
But we do have stubborn dim bulbs running the govt these days - who have trouble with reality.
