We've all heard it shouted and pontificated upon. These lousy billionaires are the problem. Yet, it begs the question....who exactly is Senator Sanders speaking of? Vermont happens to be one of three states that doesn't have a billionaire. John Abele comes in with a net worth of about $630M. He co-founded Boston Scientific, a company that maliciously tricks 36,000 workers with wages and benefits while its products are used by 30 million people around the globe.
Is this the example Bernie is searching for in his hunt for people in the way of medical progress?
It was actually "millionaires and billionaires" from Sanders right up until he became a solid multimillionaire, and now it is just billionaires.
And they are merely a placeholder villain, since the combined wealth of the tiny number of them funds the government at pre-COVID spending levels for about 4 months. After that, they are penniless and our government needs new sacrifices at the altar of profligate spending.
People have always been envious & jealous of those who are wealthier, better looking, more intelligent, and wield more power. Human nature never changes.
This is the reason why so many on the political left hate white people, rich people, and good looking people ("fat acceptance"). Much of their political agenda is fueled primarily by envy.
