Why is it 'crazy'? They used a non-toy drone to help do surveillance over an area experiences large scale illegal activity.
If they arm the thing and go full ED-209, then that's worthy of discussion.

Because it is a federal asset being used in an enforcement tool in a single state.

Not saying they can't do this, but the Constitution is specifically restrictions on the U.S. GOVERNMENT.

I work for CBP. Why do uninformed civilians believe that CBP only work at the southern or northern border?
We have CBP officers/agents assigned to every corner of US and abroad....and of course, the borders.
Also, CBP used unmanned drones within interior of US many times in the past. The most recent one is Super Bowl 2019 in Atlanta. It is nothing new.
